About Us

My photo
We met through work back in 2004. We began dating months later on February 15, 2005. We gave eachother rings by September of that same year. June of 2008 we began discussing babies. Natalie's 21st birthday was in September, so we decided to try with the doctors when we got back from vacation. In October 2008, we became pregnant, first try! We now want to share our journey through life with friends and family!

Look how fast he is growing!

Sorry, have been SUPER busy and have neglected to update! :( Well, everything is going well, we had a rough first few days, not realizing that because Aiden was a little bit bigger, my colostrum was not enough for him and lets just say that the last couple days he was pretty much starving and because I didnt know to supplement his diet with a little bit of formula until my milk comes in, he has been a very unhappy and screaming baby for about 24 hours. After not being able to figure out why he was so upset all the time, and he wouldnt latch on anymore either (because from the beginning he was a good latcher and I thought he was getting enough) probably from frustration, I decided to give him some formula. He slowly began calming down after that and so I called the nurses and told them our situation and they were like oh, ya that happens with bigger babies, you just supplement till your milk comes in. Thats great, except that I called them for advice earlier when I didnt know what was going on and they didnt bother telling me THEN! Jeese. Well all in all, everything is going GREAT now!!! He is extremely happy that his mommy's milk has come in and is a happy little baby that sleeps alot too! Here is some pics for you. I will update soon!

Aiden Lee~ July 13th 5:46am~ 9lbs 13oz and 21.5 in long

Well, he is finally here! On Sunday July 12th 1:30pm, I was having some minor contractions, that were pretty consistent. We decided to go in and get checked out by the nurses. Well, when we got there they hooked me up to the monitors and called my doctor, (who was at a wedding 4 hours away and had to catch a ferry to leave and come back up). I was monitored for a few hours and it showed that they were consistently coming every 6-8 min. So, when the Dr. got there he decided he was going to break my water and help things move along. Well about an hour or two after that, the contractions came at about every 3 min and were ALOT more painful. I was dialted to a 5 and effaced out 90% at this point. The doc said that he thought we were going to have a little bit longer, and he put me on pitocin and said you can have your epi any time you want it now. So, after experiencing several of those "lovely" sensations, they got the epi lady there!! After that it went smooth sailing, for a bit anyways. At this point is was about 8 or so at night and I decided I was going to take a nap :) It was lovely!!! I would reccomend ANYONE to take the epi.... it made labor alot more pleasent! For the next few hours they came in and checked on things, I had to get helped in to an "all fours" position on the bed, because he was facing sunny side up for a bit, but we took care of it. Well, at about 1:30am July 13th, the nurse said alright, you are at a ten now, but the baby is still at a -1 station. Which, if you dont know what that means, well it means that the baby was not wanting to come down into the birth canal pretty much. They were pretty sure it was just because he was a big baby. So, the nurse says lets try some active pushing to get this boy down. So, what I thought would have been a little bit, turned into 3.5 HOURS of ACTIVE PUSHING. Every 2-3 min pushing HARD for 30sec straight!!! It was TIRING!!! Well, then at about 4 something, the Dr came in and said ok, well he doesnt seem like he is moiving down, even after all the pushing; we are going to have to try out the vaccum and if that dont work then we are going to have to do a c-section. Well, thats all the encouragement I needed... with ALL of my might, when that vaccum was hooked up and in place.... I pushed BIG TIME, and with a whole lot of prying out by our WONDERFUL Dr. out came Aiden!!! YaY!!! He wasnt breathing at first but after a minute or so of being messed with he let out a big whail!!! Heather was AMAZING through this WHOLE thing! I could have never done it without her. She was such great support and just there for me, and I wouldn't have had it any other way! It was a great experience and besides the few contractions I endured in the beginning and the couple I had towards the end when my epi almost ran out... it was a very pleasent experience and ALL WORTH IT!!!!

Quick Update!

Ok, so the kid is still in the oven. I am not sure what he is doing, but I think that he likes it in there! :) Dr. stripped my membranes on Monday.... hurt ALOT and well never ask for that again! I have tried EVERY natural induction method, and came to the conclusion that he WILL come out when HE is ready!! LoL I am currently 3cm dilated and almost 80% effaced out. I have another appointment on Monday and hope to talk about induction if he has not arrived by then. I have taken PTO this past week and am officially on maternity leave on Monday! Boy does it feel good to take a break from work... although I do get a little lonely during the day without Heather here. But that wont last for long hopefully! We are getting the lawn hydroseeded today... so I got to go pay the guy! :) I will update soon... hopefully next time it will be with baby pics!!!!!

38 Week Appointment

Well, Last Tuesday we had our 38 week appointment! I was still to a 2 dilated, and now 70% effaced out. I was desperate and tried castor oil last week, didnt do much at all. Baby was dropped a little bit more, and was advised against going to grandma's house in Eastern WA. :( So, we went to the zoo on Saturday and then went to the local fair grounds for a firework show. It was a lot of fun. We hired a friend to work in the yard, and he is super fast and efficient. He has the front yard all done and ready, the hydroseed guy is coming and doing the front yard tomorrow. :) Happy about that. We have week 39 appointment tomorrow. I am getting my membranes stripped! :( Lets hope it does something for me. I will update more in a couple days!
